The University of Law (ULaw) has taken its first steps into the Scottish market with the acquisition of Central Law Training Scotland (CLT Scotland) from Wilmington.
The legal education giant will retain CLT Scotland’s team and transition it into its first Scottish operation over the course of the next 18 months.
Founded in 1994, CLT Scotland mainly caters to the CPD needs of the Scottish profession with around 350 training events per year, as well as paralegal support and training.
ULaw Vice Chancellor and CEO Professor Andrea Nollent said: “This is a hugely exciting opportunity for our University, giving us an important presence in Scotland with a well-known provider in the market. We are confident this agreement will be very beneficial for both parties, allowing us to pool our resources to expand both the range and quality of the courses we offer.
