A receiver of New Zealand s biggest homeware store has revealed how hard her firm tried to sell the business as a going concern, including approaching more than 50 would-be buyers. But in the end, attempts to sell the 100-showroom Nido came to nothing and yesterday it was announced that all stock in Henderson s store would be sold in the next two to three weeks and the shop shut.
Kare Johnstone of McGrathNicoll said her practice had approached more than 50 parties in a last-ditch attempt to sell the business, whose name is Italian for nest.
Aviva To Sell Entire 40% Shareholding In JV In Turkey To Ageas Insurance
LONDON (dpa-AFX) - Aviva plc (AV.L, AV), on Wednesday, said it agreed to sell its entire 40% shareholding in its joint venture in Turkey, AvivaSA Emeklilik ve Hayat AS, to Ageas Insurance International N.V. for a cash consideration of £122 million.
Aviva s joint venture partner, Sabanci Holding, would retain its 40% shareholding. Further, the transaction is expected to increase Aviva s IFRS Net Asset Value and Solvency II surplus by about £0.1 billion.
The transaction, which is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approval, is expected to complete in 2021.

ExxonMobil To Sell U.K. Upstream Central And Northern North Sea Assets To HitecVision
IRVING (dpa-AFX) - ExxonMobil said Wednesday that it agreed to sell most of its non-operated upstream assets in the United Kingdom central and northern North Sea to HitecVision for more than $1 billion. The sale price has additional upside of about $300 million in contingent payments based on potential for increase in commodity prices.
The agreement includes ownership interests in 14 producing fields operated primarily by Shell, including Penguins, Starling, Fram, the Gannet Cluster and Shearwater; Elgin Franklin fields operated by Total; and interests in the associated infrastructure. ExxonMobil s share of production from these fields was approximately 38,000 oil-equivalent barrels per day in 2019.
