UPDATE Tuesday 7:30am: After attending the scene at 1:45pm, three fire crews were able to contain the Glastonbury blaze. A Queensland Fire Services spokeswoman said the rural fire was put out by 2:45pm.
EARLIER Monday 2pm: Rural firefighters are rushing to the scene of a blaze the broke out on private property at Glastonbury on Monday afternoon. A Queensland Fire Services spokeswoman said units were called to the bushfire burning near Wyuna Rd about 1.45pm. Two fire trucks are en route to the fire.

The Wyuna Foreshore Residents Group claim the councilâs red tape has stopped them from personally paying to fix a public area they have personally maintained for the past four decades.
Home-owners along Wyuna Rd in Tweed Heads West, backing onto Terranora Inlet, have put a proposal to Tweed Shire Council to fix the council-owned foreshore from falling into the river by repairing the existing nine boat ramps and installing retaining walls.
