HÀ NỘI The Đà Nẵng Department of Natural Resources and Environment has warned that the tricks of several property speculators could drive up land prices in the central city after recent announcements of adjusted master planning.
Tô Văn Hùng, the municipal department’s director, said the announcement of the adjusted master planning of the central city would be an important factor to make the real estate market robust again, especially the secondary market.
Lê Thanh Liêm, deputy head of legal department under the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, talks to Tuổi trẻ (Youth) newspaper on the imminent increase to fines for violations in advertising and cultural activities provided for in the Decree 38.

GIA LAI Forests in Chư Pưh District in the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai are facing a high risk of illegal forest destruction.
To minimise deforestation, local authorities have assigned new forestland to local people under contracts signed between the Forest Protection Department and households.
Phạm Văn Đạo, head of Chư Pưh District’s Forest Protection Department, said mostly ethnic minorities households in the district had registered to protect the forest.
