PETALING JAYA: The Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) has been ranked as one of the world’s Top 10 airports in the latest global Airport Service Quality (ASQ) survey by Airports Council International (ACI).
KLIA scored 4.98 points out of five for the category of over 40 million passengers per annum (mppa) in 2020.
This was a significant improvement over 2019 when KLIA was ranked 17th with a score of 4.76 points. (MAHB) attributed the success to KLIA’s continuous effort in carrying out improvement initiatives despite being severely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

ASQ benchmarks the world’s best airports in terms of overall passenger satisfaction for terminal safety, facilities, services, and cleanliness.

This is according to the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) survey, which ranked the airport for the over 40 million passengers per annum (mppa) category in 2020.

The survey by Airports Council International (ACI) named KLIA as one of the top 10 in the world in the category of airports with over 40 million passengers per annum in 2020.
In a statement issued on Monday (March 15), Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd group chief executive officer Datuk Mohd Shukrie Mohd Salleh stated that the placing was due to the airport s continuous efforts to improve despite being hit severely by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Mohd Shukrie said this led to KLIA achieving an annual score of 4.98 over 5.00 in 2020, an improvement over 2019 when the airport ranked at 17th place with a score of 4.76.
