NEW DELHI: We are living this hell. Everyone is living this hell. It s a situation where we want to help but we are helpless, the Delhi High Court lamented on Friday while hearing pleas on the shortage of black fungus medicine and the problems being faced by the patients.
While the Centre placed a report giving the steps taken by it to source the medicine and overcome shortages, the high court directed it to give further details on current status of its imports and when the stocks are expected.

#NEWDELHI The Delhi
High Court on Thursday allowed duty free import of Amphotericin B, used for treating black fungus patients, on furnishing of a bond by the importers, till the final decision by Centre on waiving customs duty.
A bench comprising Justices Vipin Sanghi and
Jasmeet Singh said, “We direct that if any import is made by any person of thi s drug (Amphotericin B), it shall be allowed on a bond furnished by the importer without the actual duty being paid, till a decision is taken by the Centre.”
