“That’s a very high rate but we’re okay because we were at 30% and now to get down to below 20…feels good,” Taneja said. “Everything is starting to trend down. That’s what’s exciting about this. On its own, we’re still at very high levels. Make no mistake, we have a major, major outbreak in our community but when you look at the trend for the last three weeks, we’re trending downward.”

A partnership in Tarrant County is taking the COVID-19 vaccine and registration help where it’s needed.
FORT WORTH, Texas - A partnership in Tarrant County is taking the COVID-19 vaccine and registration help where it’s needed.
On Tuesday, the mobile clinic was in a west Fort Worth community. One of the reasons we came here to the Las Vegas Trail area is there are folks here who don’t have the transportation resources to get to some of the vaccine distribution sites, said Brian Byrd.
The clinic got underway just as Tarrant County commissioners discussed more ways to reach underserved communities and overcome challenges like language barriers.
While doses are still limited to certain groups, signing up now could help get vaccinations out faster when the vaccine becomes more available, said Vinny Taneja, Tarrant County’s public health director.

FORT WORTH, Texas In the heart of Fort Worth s Las Vegas Trail neighborhood, there was hope Tuesday morning in the form of a mobile coronavirus vaccine clinic. We ve been waiting for this for so long, said Monica Ordaz, who was the first in line to receive the vaccine Tuesday.
The clinic, set up at area non-profit called LVTRise, brought the COVID vaccine right into the west Fort Worth neighborhood. It was a needed outreach, according to LVTRise executive director Willie Rankin.
