In a release Wednesday afternoon, the Windham Police Department released details of the standoff at a residence on Forest Avenue that lasted several hours.
Windham Police Chief Bill Andrew said officers responded to the home around 6:15 a.m. after receiving a domestic disturbance report that family members were being threatened with a gun.
Windham police, Cumberland County Sheriff s Office, and the Cumberland Police Department responded.

WINDHAM Growing up in Weymouth, Massachusetts, as the son of a lifelong firefighter, Jim Boudreau said he always knew he wanted a career in public service but “I didn’t necessarily know I’d become a police officer.”
On Dec. 17, Boudreau retired from the Windham Police Department with over 37 years of experience under his belt.
When he joined the Windham department in May of 1983, things looked very different, he said. It was an 11-man force and the department itself was only 7 years old.
Landlord-tenant violent disturbance results in two arrests
Sheriffs say when they arrived the male tenant was assaulting the female landlord. They say he then punched a deputy in the face before escaping out a window.

STANDISH, Maine Two men were arrested Thursday after a violent altercation between a female landlord and a male tenant.
Deputies say they arrived in the middle of the assault between John Siciliani, 34, and his landlord at 2 Deerfield Lane in Standish. They forced their way into the home and when they tried to arrest Siciliani, they say he punched a deputy in the face and escaped out a window. K-9 s were released and tracked him not far from the home. Deputies arrested him after tazing him twice.
