At just 32-years-old, Dr Tran Anh Tu is one of the youngest members of a special team of the National Steering Committee on COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

Since the start of the pandemic, Tu has been working at the Infectious Disease Control Department of the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology.

January 23 marks the one-year anniversary of the first COVID-19 case in Vietnam. On this day, a man visiting from China tested positive for coronavirus.
Since then all our lives have been turned upside down as the pandemic spread to all corners of the globe. But despite global upheaval, Vietnam has been praised for the way it has handled this deadly plague.

An array of contemporary artworks by emerging artists from all over the world is being exhibited at a new art space located in a pine forest in northern Vietnam.
The exhibition is organized to celebrate the launch of Flamingo Contemporary Art Museum, a space dedicated to contemporary art located in Flamingo Dai Lai Resort in Vinh Phuc Province.
This is the first private art museum established in the northern province, said Duong Quang Ung, deputy director of the Vinh Phuc Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.
