People in localities across the southern region of Vietnam are likely to experience a hot weekend on Saturday and Sunday, according to the Southern Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting.
The cities of Bien Hoa and Long Khanh in Dong Nai Province, and Dong Xoai in Binh Phuoc Province will have the temperature of approximately 35 degrees Celsius on Saturday.
But the real feel can approach 38 degrees Celsius.
In the Mekong Delta region, the temperature in Vi Thanh City in Hau Giang Province, Can Tho City, and Vinh Long Province will be over 34 degrees Celsius.

A farmer in Vinh Long Province in Vietnam’s Mekong Delta region has spent his lifetime savings to build an eye-catching yacht-shaped house out of pure nostalgia for his days as a sailor.
Cao Van Nam, a-71-year-old man from Hoa Tinh Commune, Mang Thit District, built the house for VND5 billion (US$217,975).
As a young man, Nam worked as a sailor for many years before immigrating to the United States with his family in 1990.
Later, his love of the high seas was rekindled after travelling aboard a luxury cruise.

Despite facing furious opposition from local residents, a big barge equipped with dredgers is publicly extracting sand off the Tra On River in Vinh Long Province, located in Vietnam s Mekong Delta.
