Lufthansa to resume operation in Israel next week

German airline Lufthansa will resume its operations in Israel and will operate flights on its Tel Aviv-Frankfurt route starting next week.
Flights from Frankfurt to Tel Aviv will be operated on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Flights from Tel Aviv to Frankfurt will take place on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Passengers will be asked to obtain the approval from the ministerial Exceptions Committee in order to fly, as well as a negative coronavirus test.

While Israelis unable to return home due to coronavirus restrictions on air travel, hundreds of international athletes are set to arrive for the international Grand Slam Judo competition taking place in Tel Aviv.
The competition that will take place next week will host up to 500 athletes from 63 countries that will begin arriving as of Sunday.

300 Ethiopian Jews to arrive in Israel

The Exceptions Committee which authorizes arrivals to Israel has greenlit the arrival of about 300 Ethiopian Jews currently waiting in refugee camps in the war-torn country.
All arrivals will undergo coronavirus testing before take-off, and upon arrival will be transferred to isolation. Since the establishment of Israel until today, even in times of war and crisis, the immigration of Jews from around the world has never ceased, said Immigration Minister Pnina Tamano Shata.
