In the latest harassment allegation naming a Linfield University trustee, a 2019 graduate said she was at a senior dinner when the trustee asked why a group of “beautiful young women” students were all by themselves and then hugged, squeezed and winked at her as she prepared to leave.

Longtime Linfield University trustee Ronni Lacroute, who endowed a Shakespeare studies chair to keep English professor Daniel Pollack-Pelzner at the private college, resigned Sunday from the board in protest of his abrupt firing.
In a letter to Linfield’s board, president and provost, Lacroute wrote that she could no longer serve “in good conscience” as a trustee.

Last Tuesday, Linfield University in McMinnville, Oregon, fired Daniel Pollack-Pelzner, a tenured professor of English and a Shakespeare scholar who had accused President Miles K. Davis of anti-Semitism.

The two professors, Tanya Tompkins and Jennifer Linder said that Davis illustrated his comment about being open about budget cuts by quoting his professor who used to say, âYou donât send the Jews to the shower with soap.â
