CAMDEN - A Sicklerville man was fatally shot here Thursday night, authorities say.
Santino Thomas, 28, was found around 9 p.m. by police officers responding to a ShotSpotter activation on the 1300 block of Browning Street, according to the Camden County Prosecutor s Office.
Thomas, found lying on the ground between two cars in the Whitman Park neighborhood, was pronounced dead at an area hospital around 9:30 p.m. Detectives are currently working to identify any potential witnesses and searching for evidence that could help determine what led up to the shooting, the prosecutor s office said in a statement.
Thomas was the third person to be fatally shot in Camden this month. That compared to two violent deaths in the city at the same time in 2020.
