Lost Prince Album, Welcome 2 America, set to be Released | 93 9 LITE FM

By Mick Lee Apr 8, 2021 Five years after the death of Prince, his estate has announced its releasing Welcome 2 America, an album the icon wrote and recorded before his 2010 Welcome 2 America tour - even though he didn t play a single song from it while on the road. The album is set to be released on July 30th. 60 Minutes will debut the never-heard-before material this Sunday at 7pm. A sample of what you can expect is now on YouTube. A deluxe version of Welcome 2 America will include a concert film from Prince s 2011 California gig at The Forum. Prince s set that night included covers of Bob Dylan’s Make You Feel My Love , Janet Jackson’s What Have You Done For Me Lately and Roxy Music’s More Than This. A Welcome 2 America double vinyl issue will also be pressed for July 30th.
