BEIJING: The CEOs of a host of Indian businesses and industries in China have expressed concern over the continuing COVID-19 related visa and travel restrictions being pursued by Beijing which they say are hampering their activities.

India is closely monitoring developments after the Chinese embassy on Monday said it will simplify visa applications for Indians inoculated with made in China Covid-19 vaccines. Sources said 27 other countries have received similar notifications. Highly placed sources told ET that this could be an attempt to get Chinese Covid-19 vaccines recognised on bilateral terms, as none of China’s vaccines has been approved by the World Health Organisation (WHO). India has not approved any Chinese Covid-19 vaccine till now.
