Get our free mobile app In May of 2018, the Boy Scouts of America changed a major part of their organization.  For the first time their 108 history they allowed girls to join.  Since then, over 140,000 girls have joined their ranks. Not only are these new scouts enjoying the knowledge handed down to their troupes, they re excelling!  In fact, Louisiana now has its first ever female Eagle Scouts!  If you were ever part of the organization, you know what an accomplishment that really is.  I myself only made it to the Webelo-level of scouting.  To become an Eagle Scout requires a level of dedication above and beyond what most people display during their time chasing badges.
