Wife killer Borce Ristevski has been moved out of a high-security prison to a correctional centre housing corrupt cops and sex offenders.
He is serving out a 13 year jail sentence after being convicted of the manslaughter of his wife Karen Ristevski at their home in Avondale Heights, Melbourne in June 2016.
Until this week, the 56-year-old was being housed at a high security prison for some of the country s worst criminals.
But without explanation he was mysteriously downgraded to the medium security Hopkins Correctional Centre in Ararat, reports the Herald Sun.
And so the fallout from the Lawyer X scandal continues.
Drug kingpin Tony Mokbel has had his conviction for the importation of cocaine quashed by
Victoria s Court of Appeal as a result of the Lawyer X scandal,
on the basis that Nicola Gobbo (also known as Lawyer X )
had been a registered informant with Victorian Police while
representing him.
Mr Mokbel will remain in prison, serving time for other
offences, but Commonwealth prosecutors have confirmed they will not
pursue a retrial for the charges relating to the importation of a
commercial quantity of cocaine in the year 2000.
