VISD Bond Planning Task Force began making assessments of what has been deemed as much-needed repair for several VISD schools.
In November they estimated that the needed repairs would cost about $146.2 million dollars. At that time data was offered to the public showing that

The final estimate was completed and was set at $156.8 million as VISD Superintendent Dr. Quintin Sheperd offered in his Q Newsletter the willingness of all committee members to hear community thoughts on the proposal.

Victoria Mayor Rawley McCoy Visitation Open to the Public

Tomorrow our community will gather to pay tribute and their respects in honor of our fine mayor, Mr. Rawley McCoy who passed away unexpectedly last Friday night.
The public is invited to attend Mayor McCoy s visitation tomorrow, Wednesday, March 10, 2021, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Rosewood Funeral Chapel which is located at 3304 E. Mockingbird Lane in Victoria, Texas.
Dignity Memorial has a written tribute on their website which you can read here, that very eloquently highlights the life of Mr. McCoy. There is a wonderful story that we spoke about today on air on our morning show where Rawley as a young man in school raised his hand when asked if anyone in his classroom was interested in a summer drafting class.
The Texas Zoo Will Host Spring Break Camps for Kids

If you re like most parents, you won t be able to take a week off for work just because your kids are on their spring break. But what if you don t want them to stay home while you work?
Here is great news. The Texas Zoo will be offering their Spring Break Zoo Camps for kids for the week of March 15th through the 19th.
The program includes educational and explorational animal activities as well as just being outdoors in a safe environment! Half-day camps are available for children ages 5 to 7 from 9 a.m. to noon, and full-day camps are available for children ages 8 to 13 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Live music is back and it s with absolute excitement that we announce, THE Urban Cowgirl,
Jessie Mapes, will be performing for our very special VIP listeners on March 25th at the Mac Haik Performance Center on the Compadres Design Stage.
It will be another outdoor concert with plenty of social distancing spacing for our guests to enjoy an evening of friendship, free food and beverages, and of course, Jessie Mapes.
