A Victoria food bank is temporarily closing its doors after several employees tested positive for COVID-19, but its distribution efforts have not been impacted, according to officials.
The Food Bank of The Gold Crescent announced Thursday that it will be closed as a precautionary measure until Jan. 25 because five administrative staff members tested positive for the virus. None of the positive staff members have worked extensively with volunteers during the past several days, allowing the warehouse to remain open to distribute food to area partners, said Robin Cadle, the food bank s president and CEO.
