Coronavirus update for Victoria – Tuesday 3 August 2021
Victoria was notified of five new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. Four were locally acquired cases – one is an overseas traveller in hotel quarantine.
There are 124 active cases in Victoria – 118 locally acquired and six overseas acquired cases.
There are 10 COVID-19 cases in hospital in Victoria. Two cases are in intensive care (including one case on a ventilator).
The total number of confirmed cases in Victoria since the beginning of the pandemic is 20,955.
Update: Outbreaks
There were four locally acquired cases yesterday.
All cases are linked to the current outbreak and all were in quarantine throughout their infectious period.
