The Wallaceburg Rotary Club has donated $10,000 to the Personal Support Worker program at Wallaceburg District Secondary School, allowing the school to purchase a mechanical lift and provide student bursaries.
âWith this donation we can buy a mechanical lift that will get the students skilled prior to going out to the much-appreciated community placements,â said Lisa Zandbergen, a registered nurse who started and runs the PSW program, in an email.

She said the money that remains after buying the lift will go toward annual bursaries for students continuing on in a health-care-related field.
