We are introducing a new weekly feature where we will bring you some of the most inspiring stories from the week. A mother has spoken of her pride for her “miracle twins” who survived a multiple-pregnancy in which their siblings died.
Dawn Heasman was pregnant with multiple babies – she did not want to say how many – back in 2003 but, sadly, only two of those children, Michael and Bryony, survived. Vicky Hill is taking on the Stroke Association’s Stride for Stroke challenge. Vicky, 37, who lives in Eckington, will look to walk 1.2 million steps, which is one step for every stroke survivor in the UK, after her partner Julian, 50, had a stroke that left him unable to move, swallow or even see from one eye. Julian, a “fit and very active man”, was at the gym when he rolled off the bench he was using. Knowing something was seriously wrong, staff and all those around him became concerned and phoned Vicky and an ambulance. On arriving at hospital, doctors confirmed the stroke was caused by a clot and Julian was unable to speak or move his right side while he had also lost vision in his right eye.

The fitness industry can bounce back from the Coronavirus pandemic if it can adapt, personal trainers have said.
Lockdowns have forced gyms to close with many smaller independent businesses likely to shut for good.
UK Active has warned the closure of gyms would have a damaging impact on physical and mental wellbeing .
Runners World said in a new survey that just seven per cent of active adults regard regularly visiting the gym as the best fitness option.
It also found three out of five adults see outdoor activity as the best way to stay fit while 47 per cent more people have hired personal trainers and nutritionists since this time last year.

Like all Americans, I too was sad and sickened by the actions of these out of control, disrespectful, mostly young thugs and morons that soiled a peaceful protest and show of support for our President, by breaking into our Capital building.
A close examination of two of them in particular that were trying to get into the House chamber has shown them to be Antifa anarchists who were there to hurt, not help, or support our President. The close up picture of two of them (one wearing a cap with buffalo horns) was on split screen showing them both together on their Antifa web site.
