MELVIN CHESAITES, 22, of Hathaway Place, Barry, was banned from driving for 18 months after he admitted riding an unregistered off-road bike on O Donnell Road while disqualified. He was also made the subject of an electronically monitored curfew between 8pm and 6am for 10 weeks and ordered to pay £180 in costs and a surcharge. TRISTAN O BRIEN, 29, of Porthkerry Road, Barry, was jailed for 16 weeks, suspended for 12 months, after he pleaded guilty to the possession of an offensive weapon in public – a baseball bat – and public disorder.
