More than 440 people have been arrested so far in connection with the Capitol siege that occurred on Jan. 6 at the same time Congress was certifying the results of the 2020 presidential election that confirmed Joe Biden as the winner over former President Donald Trump.
Five people died as a result of the attack.
The people who have been arrested have come from all over the nation, except for six states: Wyoming, North and South Dakota, Rhode Island, Vermont and Mississippi, according to Yahoo News.

Hinson says security fence around US Capitol should be removed
Republican Congresswoman Ashley Hinson says it’s time for the fencing around the U.S. Capitol to come down.
“This is the people’s House and the people, the taxpayers, pay for these facilities,” Hinson said this morning. “…Quite frankly, for a long time it was easier to get across the border illegally than it was to come to work at the Capitol and I think that sends absolutely the wrong message to Iowa taxpayers and Americans.”
Security fencing was installed after the U.S. Capitol riot on January 6. The security fencing around the building where her DC office is located has been removed.

Federal prosecutors will not bring charges against the officer who fatally shot Ashli Babbitt during the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol, the Justice Department said Wednesday.
In a statement, the department said an investigation found no evidence that the officer violated federal law and said it is possible the officer fired the shot in self-defense or to defend members of Congress. The officer still hasn’t been identified publicly.
