Walking football is an example of an activity that can be safely enjoyed by the over 60s A CAMPAIGN has been launched to raise awareness about the greater health risks older residents across Leeds are facing due to COVID-19. Health and care organisations across the area are working together to spread a positive message to those aged 60 and over about how they can stay safe and well over the winter. The message comes as Leeds - including Aireborough, Horsforth and parts of Wharfedale - remains under the highest, Tier 3 coronavirus restrictions: and ahead of a five day relaxation of the rules over the Christmas period.

Minister for Planning and Local Government, Peter Burke TD, has described Cork County Council’s role in the local response to the COVID-19 pandemic to date as vital. He was speaking during a visit to Bandon to thank local authority staff for their work and visit businesses who have benefited from local authorities’ supports.
Cork County Council has provided a range of economic and social supports in response to challenges arising from the pandemic. These have included:
€28 million in Restart Grants administered to businesses, 913 Trading Online Vouchers and 715 Business Continuity Vouchers so far in 2020
