You know this is going to be a hit or miss, like most documentaries which capture half the audience but anger the other half. That s usually the way it works, right? I, for one, can t wait to watch Lifetime s
Whitney Houston & Bobbi Kristina: Didn’t We Almost Have It All. The documentary is based on the story of Whitney Houston and her daughter Bobbi Kristina, their relationship and their tragic deaths.
I m sure this is going to be difficult to watch, especially for those of us who grew up loving Whitney, falling in and out of love to the tune of her songs and the magical sound of her voice. The first trailer is already out and I m all about it. Would love to know your thoughts.
The trailer for Lifetime’s new documentary
Whitney Houston & Bobbi Kristina: Didn’t We Almost Have It All dropped today, detailing the special bond the mother and daughter shared and the tragic circumstances leading to their deaths.
The documentary features interviews from dozens of people close to Whitney Houston and her daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown. Producer Randy Jackson speaks of Whitney’s image as a “pop princess,” while music executive and close family friend Perri “Pebbles” Reid discloses that “this is the first time I’ve ever spoken about Whitney.” The documentary then teases a darker glimpse into Whitney’s child. Tina Brown, sister of Bobbi Brown, is heard saying “When she was younger, she was made to do a lot of not so good things.”

The two-hour documentary will present an in-depth look at the lives of Whitney and Bobbi Kristina, both of whom struggled with familial relationships, their love lives and drugs and alcohol. There s so many parallels between Whitney and Bobbi Kristina, one person remarks in the trailer. They both had addiction. They both perished in a bathtub.
