Vigil for the Valley – the Occupation of Collina Street

Posted on 8th February 2021 // Scotland // 0 Comments On Friday the 15 th of January, a gazebo went up on a patch of vacant land at Collina Street in Maryhill, Glasgow, and a group of local residents settled, as much as one can settle anywhere on a cold and wet day, into an occupation. Their goal: To remain in place on the land until either the city council comes to the negotiating table to speak with them, or they are forcibly evicted.
