Notice is hereby given that on the 29th day of January, 2021, a Petition was filed in the District Court of Sheridan County, Nebraska, the object and prayer of which is for the change of the petitioner’s name from Brandy Kay Wright to Brandy Kay Bounous.
A hearing will be had on said Petition before the Honorable Judge Travis P. O’Gorman in the Sheridan County District Court in Rushville, Nebraska on the 6th day of April, 2021 at 9:30 a.m., or as soon thereafter as may be convenient for the Court and that unless sufficient cause is shown to the contrary, the Petitioner’s name will be changed from that of Brandy Kay Wright to Brandy Kay Bounous.

The Sheridan County Board of Commissioners met by zoom at 9:40 A.M. on February 9, 2021. Zoom ID#6498512381 Passcode 1mzrw6. All members present along with Sindy Coburn Clerk, Renee Thies Treasurer and Richard Cross Road Superintendent. Paul stated that the meeting would be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Nebraska Open Meeting Act. This meeting was posted on the official county website and published in the Sheridan County Journal Star on February 3, 2021. Krotz made a motion to accept the agenda. Messersmith seconded the motion. All voted aye. Messersmith made a motion to approve the minutes of 1-26-2021 with corrections. Krotz seconded the motion. All voted aye.
George Addie
George Layton Addie (86), retired Administrative Officer, US Public Health Service, passed away November 13, 2020. He was born March 31, 1934 in Rushville, Nebraska and was the only child of Clara Layton and George Addie. His early years were spent on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. He graduated Rushville High School in 1952, and attended Chadron State College in Nebraska. He married Lila Higgs and together they had four children. The family moved to Arizona in 1963. The couple later divorced. He married Kathleen Yogerst in 1975.
His first Federal employment was as a Summer Survey Aid. He secured permanent Federal employment with the Department of Army in Sidney, Nebraska. He would later work for the Departments of Navy and Air Force, and the Bureau of Reclamation. His time with the Navy was spent at the Litchfield Navy Base in Litchfield, Arizona.
