Tacloban, Catbalogan require antigen test for travelers from NCR+

Published April 6, 2021, 3:27 PM TACLOBAN CITY – The city government of Tacloban and Catbalogan have required real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) or antigen test for travelers from the National Capital Region (NCR) Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal. Tacloban City Mayor Alfred Romualdez stressed the need to undergo swab testing for COVID-19 in order to closely monitor those coming from NCR and high-risk areas and prepare for a possible surge of cases in the city. “We need to closely monitor those who are coming in…We don’t want to be an additional burden to the national government. I’m urging Taclobanons. Let us not wait for a lockdown. We can do this together,” he said.

PSA reminds registrants on documents to bring to PhilSys Step 2

ILOILO CITY, Jan. 29 (PIA) - - The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Region VI is reminding registrants on the necessary supporting documents to bring during the second step of the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) registration tentatively scheduled this coming February. Step 2 registration is the validation of supporting documents and the capture of biometric information of individuals who participated in the first step of the registration phase which involved house-to-house collection of demographic information of these individuals and scheduling of their appointments to the registration center. PSA VI Regional Director Fred Sollesta said the primary documents that are required for registrants to bring at the registration centers established by the different local government units in the region are PSA-issued Certificate of Live Birth and one government-issued identification document which bears a full name, front-facing photograph, and signature or thumbmark such as
