We ve got some bad news for Walmart shoppers. On March 15, Walmart Canada announced that it s closing six stores in Canada, including the Walmart Supercentre location in Westwood Square in Malton (7333 Goreway Dr.). Walmart Canada is committed to evaluating their store network to meet customer needs and ensure continued growth strategies. As part of the retailer’s store strategy, Walmart Canada will also close six stores, the company said in a news release.  The company will also close two other Ontario locations one in Hamilton (County Fair) and another in Kitchener.  Ward 5 Councillor Carolyn Parrish took to Twitter to express disappointment in the closure, calling it sad news for the local community.
