Smith comes to MEM from NORCAL Mutual Insurance Co. where he served as senior vice president and chief claims officer. He has more than 25 years of experience leading and managing claims organizations.
Sarah Mazzocco has been named chief human resource officer. In her new role, she will continue to lead all aspects of talent management, strategic workforce and facility planning. Mazzocco has more than 17 years of experience and joined MEM in 2017 after serving as an independent consultant and in leadership roles at the University of Arkansas, Wal-Mart Stores Inc., and H-E-B Grocery Co.
