That would be a great gateway but I can’t see that greenery getting past the wretched value engineers.
New bailey is really coming through, it’s getting a real sense of place now in what used to be a horrid area. Am I right in thinking this is the last plot? Once this, those under construction, Middlewood docks and the factory are all complete it’s going to be fantastic; a full and complete new area. Well done Salford.

Investor PGIM Real Estate has acquired a 25% stake in the developer of Sci-Tech Daresbury and the regeneration of Parkside Colliery on behalf of one of its funds.
Warrington-based Langtree already manages around £400m of assets on PGIM Real Estate’s behalf and the investment will help to spur Langtree’s growth and provide it with “the financial resources to boost its activities”, the parties said in a statement.
US-based PGIM Real Estate is the property investment business of PGIM, the $1.4trn global investment management arm of New York Stock Exchange-listed Prudential Financial. PGIM Real Estate itself is one of the largest property investors in the world with $182.5bn of gross assets under management. The value of the Langtree deal was not disclosed.

A project to create a pair of laboratory buildings at Parkgate Road Campus, part of an upgrade of the university’s science and engineering faculty, is earmarked for approval by Cheshire West & Chester Council.
The University of Chester proposes a three-storey, 14,000 sq ft laboratory on part of the car park that serves a cluster of buildings including the NoWFOOD building and Best Building.
The laboratory would provide the main teaching and learning spaces of the university’s Faculty of Science and Engineering and feature 10 laboratories, including three for robotics, as well as offices.
In addition, a two-storey engineering design suite is planned for a plot to the north-west of the campus on land also used for staff parking.

The university is in talks to relocate its Warrington campus to the £142m town centre mixed-use scheme being delivered by the council and Muse Developments.
Under the plans, the University of Chester would occupy two sites within the regenerated area of Time Square in Warrington, moving from its current location on Crab Lane in the Fearnhead suburb, which was deemed unfit for purpose and levels of present and future demand in a university-led review last year.
The university is in the process of negotiating a lease to occupy an undisclosed “prime property” within Time Square. The property, which would benefit from high footfall because of its location, according to Chester, would enable more people to engage directly with the university through an information and learning hub.

Days out with the kids By now, it’s likely that your kids are clawing at the walls, desperate to have a day out. When restrictions ease, you will never complain about a day out at The Jungle soft play again. Once the pandemic is behind us and lockdown is a thing of the past, you can have some great days out with the kids. (Facebook/ @BoBotheDonkey ) A trip to Walton Hall and Gardens is underrated- and the Children’s Zoo there never fails to entertain the little ones.
