WARRICK CO., Ind. (WFIE) - The Warrick County Sheriff says crews responded to Interlake State Recreation Area for a dirt bike rider that hit a tree.
Officials say the accident occurred Sunday around 2:30 p.m.
Indiana Conservation Officers say that 54-year-old Steve Redman of Rockville suffered a severe lower body injury during the accident.
DNR officials told 14 News that Redman was flown from the scene and taken to St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville. Officers say he was wearing full safety gear at the time of the accident.
The term “swatting” refers to when someone calls law enforcement to falsely report information that might prompt a heavy law enforcement response to a specific location, sometimes involving a SWAT team.

WARRICK CO., Ind. (WFIE) - One person was taken to the hospital after a crash in Warrick County.
The crash happened on State Road 66 just east of Epworth Road.
Authorities say the driver was the only one hurt and is being treated for minor injuries.
We’re told that the driver is under investigation for possibly being intoxicated.
Indiana State Police say they assisted the Warrick County Sheriff’s Office.

WARRICK CO., Ind. (WFIE) - A suspicious package that was being shipped to an address in Newburgh led detectives in Warrick County to recover over 1,200 illegal THC vape cartridges.
On April 5, authorities with the Warrick County Sheriff’s Office were made aware of the suspicious package.
Officials say the package was flagged, and after a positive K9 alert, detectives got a search warrant.
Inside, they say they found 1,224 THC cartridges that had an approximate street value of $30,000.
