COMING SOON! Westminster Boulevard Traffic Shift
Crews will shift traffic to one side of the Westminster bridge over I-405 to begin the second phase of demolition and reconstruction. The traffic shift is anticipated for early-to-mid January and will require bridge and ramp closures. Partial demolition of the old portion of the bridge will occur over two weekends under full freeway closures and is anticipated for late February.
The 405 Community Outreach Team will provide detailed closure, detour and schedule information in future alerts.

WHITEVILLE, N.C. (WECT) - At least one person was injured in a Thursday afternoon shooting in Whiteville.
Officers with the Whiteville Police Department confirmed that multiple shots were fired on Ward Street and at least one person hit by the gunfire. That person suffered only minor injuries. Police also confirmed that two cars were damaged in the shooting.
Police added that they are looking for at least two suspects. No other details about the shooting have been released.
The Pitt County Sheriffâs Office arrested a 64-year-old Chocowinity man on drug charges after finding heroin in his possession, the Pitt County Sheriffâs Office reported Thursday.
Detectives with the Special Operations Unit initiated a traffic stop on Jefferson Street in Greenville on Tuesday, the agency said in a news release.
Officers located heroin and arrested Frank Douglas Brinton, the release said. He was charged with possession of heroin and released after posting $10,000 secured bond.
