A body that appeared to be that of an adult man was found Sunday morning floating in Lake Ahquabi south of Indianola, a Department of Natural Resources news release said.
At about 10:15 a.m., the body was seen floating in the water about 20 yards from the shore of the park s beach and swimming area. Responding staff from the DNR, Warren County Sheriff s Office and medical professionals found the body and brought it ashore, the release said.
The person s identity or cause of death are not being released until family members are notified and the autopsy is completed at the State Medical Examiner s office in Ankeny. Foul play was not suspected, the release states.
