Some conspiracy books claim that while Clay Shaw was acquitted, the jury also believed there was a conspiracy in the JFK assassination. It s a bit of a nonsensical question since the jury were not asked to make any determination of a conspiracy in the assassination. And, while Garrison might have put the Warren Report on trial, Shaw s defense team was focused only on getting a not guilty plea. They had neither the time, the resources, or the interest in putting on a defense of the Warren Report.

The Curious Case of Cedric Younger Von Rolleston From:
This is a story of false identification and the fact that many people, in any large investigation, come forward with stories that are just not believable. In this case, a Mr. Cedric Rolleston told Garrison investigators that he saw Clay Shaw with Lee Harvey Oswald in 1963. Clay Shaw s legal team had to run down the lead and eventually Mr. Rolleston recanted. Yet, even today, conspiracy books don t quite tell you the whole story about Mr. Rolleston.
