Burgum calls for bold action to build strong future for North Dakota in 2021 State of the State Address

Gov. Doug Burgum on Tuesday delivered his 2021 State of the State Address, reflecting on the substantial progress and historic challenges of the past year and calling for bold action and investments in infrastructure and other priorities to position North Dakota for an even brighter future. Petronas Carigali takes over operatorship of E11 gas hub, offshore Sarawak 07 Jan 2021 / 16:08 H. KUALA LUMPUR: Petronas’ subsidiary, Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd (PCSB), has taken over the operatorship of the E11 gas hub, located 130km offshore Bintulu, Sarawak, effective Jan 1, 2021. The E11 hub, which has been producing since 1982 under the Malaysia Liquefied Natural Gas (MLNG) Production Sharing Contract, had been operated by Sarawak Shell Bhd (SSB) for the past 38 years. Petronas’ vice-president of Malaysia Assets Bacho Pilong said this marked a significant milestone for PCSB as the operator of the E11 hub, which is pivotal in ensuring reliable, stable and cleaner energy supply to the market while continuing to develop Sarawak as a regional gas hub.

Burgum announces streamlined, unified spill reporting system | News, Sports, Jobs

Jan 6, 2021 BISMARCK – Gov. Doug Burgum on Tuesday announced the completion of a new streamlined system that will provide a one-stop shop for energy industry producers, transporters and developers, as well as the public, to report hazardous material spills and releases. The planning process for the project began in 2018 as a joint effort led by the North Dakota Department of Emergency Services and supported by the North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality, North Dakota Department of Agriculture and the North Dakota Industrial Commission’s Oil and Gas Division. In January 2020, the reporting platform developer HazConnect was awarded a state contract to begin work on the project’s functionality and design.
