JEFFERSONVILLE, GA The future is fantastically bright and also debt-free for Aylah Birks, a senior at Twiggs County High School in Georgia.
Birks, who will graduate this spring with a 4.0 grade point average, was not only accepted to 84 colleges. She also was awarded more than $2.2 million in scholarships, according to a report by 11 Alive.
It s an achievement Birks can add to her already impressive resume. The teen is also a finalist for the Gates Scholarship and is a published author.
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Howard High School senior is a semifinalist for multiple national scholarships.
Chon applied for the
5,000 other high school students across the nation. She is one of
428 semifinalists. The program grants
60 scholarships each year.
Additionally, Chon was chosen as a semifinalist for the
Gates scholarship. The Gates Scholarship program is highly selective and is for minority student leaders. This grant funds the full cost of attendance for students after financial aid is applied.
Eunice Chon plans to study politics, religion, or sociology and is also an aspiring journalist.
