Two who died in Southland crash named © RNZ / Richard Tindiller The two people who died in a crash on the Riverton-Wallacetown highway in Southland on Monday have been named. They were Kareen Marie Malcolm and James Lennon Malcolm, both of Invercargill and both aged 61. James died at the scene and Malcolm later in Dunedin Hospital. A month ago, another man died after a crash on the same stretch of road. Both collisions involved milk tankers. Police are still investigating the latest crash.

Between 2011 and 2013, the gang boasted online about having sex with drunk girls - some of them underage. Despite a lengthy police investigation at the time, no charges were laid. Police today said a formal complaint filed this year had prompted a fresh investigation. The arrested men are due to appear in court next Wednesday.
