Knockpatrick, Manchester: Though unassuming, 105-year-old Daisy Morgan is undeniably witty, charismatic and will leave your cheeks hurting from laughter with her zesty personality. An agile tomboy who enjoyed climbing trees in her youth, Morgan later spent her life moulding young minds and now enjoys life in her peaceful Knockpatrick home, which she calls ‘The Icebox’: due to the cold climate. On an average day, Morgan can be found vibing with the ‘Too Live Crew’ with Dahlia Harris and Burger Man on Radio Jamaica, reading her devotionals, and catching up with current affairs in The Gleaner and completing the crossword puzzles as her caregiver and cousin, Doreen Anderson, prepares her meals.

Farmer Man featuring Lutan Fyah.
Since its release in the late summer, it has enjoyed strong rotation on several local radio stations including HITZ 92 FM and Radio Jamaica FM. I am getting a lot of positive feedback about this song, everyone says it s a hit. I have to thank all the DJs who are playing it in Jamaica and other parts of the world. I also have to big up Lutan Fyah for doing this song with me. It was a great experience working on this track with him, he s a very talented artiste, said R-Embassida.
The hard-working singjay says 2020 has been a very productive year for him, despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

Joseph Matalon, Chairman of Radio Jamaica Limited - file photo
Joseph M. Matalon, Chairman of Radio Jamaica Limited, has announced that the company s board members will no longer be allowed to endorse political candidates or parties.
The announcement arises from recent disquiet over Mr Matalon s endorsement of Mark Golding for the post of president of the People s National Party.
In a statement Monday afternoon, Mr. Matalon said that, upon reflection, he would not repeat such an action.
He noted that the company s workers, and specifically journalists, have had strong and clear guidelines on political affiliation, with such affiliation being restricted at the journalistic level. He said the guidelines will now also apply to the Board of Directors.
