Emergency Communications Project to be launched in 2021

A long awaited Emergency Communications Network (ECN) designed to facilitate emergency communications will be launched here come January 2021.
The Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) tier 3 system will be the most modern radio communications system in the Eastern Caribbean, and its coverage is expected to provide service to over 95% of St. Vincent & the Grenadines.
On Wednesday, December 09, 2020, the National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) invited beneficiaries of the system, to familiarize them with the capabilities of the system, and to provide a historical back drop of the project which was conceptualized over five years ago.
