Letters to the editor for April 18 Burlington County Times The world needs more frogs like Kermit Kermit the Frog, of Sesame Street fame, hit the big time and deservedly so. Kermit, with his song “The Rainbow Connection,” was inducted into the Library of Congress’s National Recording Registry.   Under the National Recording Preservation Act of 2000, the Librarian of Congress selects 25 audio titles each year worthy of preservation based on their cultural, historical or aesthetic importance to the nation’s heritage.  Kermit is in distinguished company with the 2021 selections, ranging from Louis Armstrong, with his song “When the Saints Go Marching In,” to Franklin Roosevelt and Winston Churchill, with their Christmas Eve Broadcast of Dec. 24, 1941.
