WE NEED RIVALRIES, TRIBALISATION AND PLAYERS TO SPEAK THEIR MINDS
Rugby League’s showpiece and biggest success in the sport’s history is the State of Origin that is built on a battleground mentality of ‘mate against mate’ and ‘state versus state’.
AFL, NRL, football (soccer) and The Ashes are all built on the passion for one’s team or nation against the other who supporters have some hatred for.
It drives competition and instils passion into the sport.
Racing needs more Joe Pride’s, a man who speaks his mind and isn’t afraid to stir the pot all in the name of sparking interest in the sport.
