Sheriffâs Office Arrests Two Motorists who Fled from Deputies By Aaron Santini
From the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office:
Two unrelated traffic stops performed by Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office deputies resulted in arrests after the drivers fled.
On Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 1:06 AM, a sheriffâs deputy attempted to stop a blue 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV for an equipment violation. The vehicle was traveling in the area of US HWY 41 and Maxwell Avenue at the time of the stop. The vehicle slowed for a brief moment before fleeing towards the inner-city.
The driver fled through inner-city streets and alleyways, before striking a utility pole in the 800 block of East Iowa Street. The driver then fled on foot. A concerned citizen reported the suspectâs location. With assistance from the Evansville Police Department, a Sheriffâs Office K-9 team located the suspect, later identified as Mr. Zachary Scott Pribble, hiding on the deck of a nearby re

Less than a week is left on the Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign. Deputies from the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office were ringing the bells at the kettles this weekend.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Less than a week is left on the Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign.
The money collected stays local and helps people in the area during Christmas and throughout the year.
14 News caught up with Salvation Army Major Mark Turner on Friday evening. He says they are still short by several thousand dollars, but if someone plans to donate in the near future, their contributions will go twice as far.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Fire officials say one person is injured after a fire broke out in McCutchanville.
Vanderburgh County Dispatch confirmed that a working structure fire was in progress on the 6100 block of Dana Drive on Sunday evening.

According to McCutchanville Fire Chief Nick Adams, fire crews were dispatched to a residence located on the street following a reported fire in one of the bedrooms near the back part of the house. Dispatch officials say they originally received the call around 7:08 p.m.
