Police seek suspect in Waterford bank robbery

A man is dead and a woman, identified as his spouse, is in police custody, following a confrontation with a policeman last night in Portmore, St Catherine. Reports to The Gleaner are that the policeman, a corporal, was driving his private motor car along Cumberland Boulevard when he was stopped by a man who complained that he had been hit in the face with a gun by another man. The corporal, who observed the injury to the man s face, advised him to report the matter to the Waterford Police in Portmore. However, the policeman later saw a man along Keswick Circle fitting the description given to him by the complainant. The policeman identified himself and the man pulled a gun from his waist and began shooting at the policeman. The corporal returned the fire, hitting the man.

WATERFORD, Conn. Yet another stolen vehicle incident nearly ended in tragedy.
Late Wednesday afternoon, a speeding, stolen truck bounced off a tree and into a house on Oswegatchie Road in Waterford. Oh my God, someone just hit our house, Alexandra Schoenberger could be heard saying on a video she provided exclusively to FOX61.
She was rolling seconds after the crash. Oh my God, she yelled as she got out of her car.
TOWN OF WATERFORD â A Town of Waterford resident reportedly died in a crash involving a farm tractor and a pickup truck in the town. The victim has not been publicly identified by authorities.
The Tichigan Volunteer Fire Company was notified Monday after 3:30 p.m. of a motor-vehicle accident involving a farm tractor and car on Territorial Drive, just west of Marsh Road, according to a news release from Tichigan Fire.
Initial dispatch indicated the driver of the tractor was bleeding and unconscious. Tichigan Fire & Rescue units immediately responded, upon dispatch calling for additional resources, including Flight for Life, prior to arrival on scene.
