Azamat Bakytov (6-0) vs. Ramazan Mustafaev (5-0)
Kazakhstan isn’t exactly known as an epicenter of MMA action, but it serves as the host for one of the bigger regional shows of the coming weekend. Naiza Fighting Championship is set for its 30th event, with a headlining affair for the interim featherweight crown. However, it’s a lightweight fight further down the lineup that really catches the eye thanks to the presence of two undefeated upstarts. Those men are Azamat Bakytov and Ramazan Mustafaev.
Bakytov is the native son in this fight. The Almaty resident made his pro debut in 2015 and won three fights before taking a two-year hiatus from competition. Upon his 2018 return, he resumed his winning ways. However, he’s still averaging just one fight per year. His best opponent thus far has been Boris Medvedev, whom Bakytov outpointed for a decision under the M-1 Challenge banner. It was by far his most high-profile appearance. “Massaget” has stopped all of his remaining foe

Collin Huckbody (9-2) vs. Aaron Jeffery (9-2)
The COVID-19 era has led some organizations to adopt a new event format. Instead of spreading out dates across multiple weeks and months, these companies choose to run shows on consecutive nights. So is the case this week for Cage Fury Fighting Championships, which delivers CFFC 92 on Thursday and follows with CFFC 93 on Friday. The latter of these efforts includes a middleweight title tilt between champion Collin Huckbody and challenger Aaron Jeffery.
“Young Huck” enters on the strength of a six-fight winning streak. The 26-year-old made his pro debut in 2017 after a 6-1-1 amateur run and went just 3-2 through his first five appearances, including a decision loss to Bevon Lewis at Legacy Fighting Alliance 38. Huckbody found his groove in the second half of 2018 and kicked off his current streak with a decision nod over sub-.500 fighter Thomas Krenzel. He marched through 2019 by adding another decision victory and two submissions. T

Cristian Quiñónez (14-3) vs. Dony Matos (20-7)
Mexico’s Ultimate Warrior Challenge organization returns for its 25th effort on Friday. The company’s show will air on UFC Fight Pass, which provides an excellent chance for bantamweight Cristian Quiñónez to make his audition for the UFC. Quiñónez will vie for the 135-pound belt against 27-fight veteran Dony Matos.
Quiñónez has already put together a strong resume of 14 wins across 17 appearances. The 24-year-old made his professional debut in 2013 at age 17. He won his first three fights before running into trouble against Jose Guadalupe Ruelas Soto and succumbing to punches in the third round of their 2014 affair. “El Taylon” responded with six straight wins, including one under the Brave Combat Federation banner. However, he was again stopped by punches in his sophomore outing with Brave CF. Quiñónez rebounded with another trio of wins. The third of these victories came against the previously undefeated Vinicius de
