People have shared their experiences of getting a coronavirus jab at a “fabulous” new vaccination centre in Watford. The new site opened at Watford Town Hall on Thursday, with hundreds of people having booked themselves in to get a vaccine before the centre had opened. The centre is in the extension to the Town Hall, chosen because it is on one level and has flexible space to accommodate the needs of the centre. It has the capacity to administer thousands of vaccines a week.

A coronavirus testing site in Watford is closing for good as a new vaccination centre opens in the town. The new vaccine site officially opened at Watford Town Hall today (February 11), with the centre based in the extension to the building. Watford Borough Council says the opening means the testing site in the Town Hall car park for people with symptoms of Covid-19 has now closed. But the walk-through testing site in King George V playing fields in Chaffinch Lane, Watford, is still open. Appointments at the site, which has limited number of parking spaces, are available every day from 8am-8pm.
A coronavirus vaccination site has opened at Hemel Hempstead Hospital today (Monday).
The NHS has announced that a further 18 sites, including two in West Hertfordshire, will open for people to get a Covid jab as the vaccination programme continues to accelerate.
The centre at Hemel Hempstead Hospital opened today (Monday) and Watford Town Hall is due to open on Thursday, February 11.
