Warwick Township Mayor Jackie Rombouts and Coun. Wayne Morris presented resident Maryanne Cundick with the 2020 Senior of the Year award on Dec. 15.
Each year the municipality honours a senior who has made an outstanding voluntary contribution to enrich the social, cultural or civic life of the community.

Cundick has been the volunteer coordinator of the Watford Food bank since it opened in 2012, is a member of the Watford Rotary Club and has been a tireless volunteer within the community, Rombouts said.

This week on behalf of Warwick Township Council, Mayor Jackie Rombouts and Councillor Wayne Morris presented Maryanne Cundick the 2020 Senior of the Year Award. Cundick has been the volunteer coordinator of the Watford Food Bank since it first opened in 2012. She is a member of the Watford Rotary and a tireless volunteer for the community. Mayor Rombouts says Maryanne’s dedication to the Watford Food Bank has supported so many local families over the years, especially this year as many adapt to changes created by COVID-19. Warwick Township Council is very grateful to Maryanne for all that she does to make Warwick Township a wonderful place to live. The Township of Warwick’s Senior of the Year Award honours a senior citizen who has made an outstanding voluntary contribution to enrich the social, cultural or civic life of the community.
