Part of Wacker Drive building hits the market
The listing for nearly half of a 15-story Brutalist building overlooking the Chicago River adds to the mix of downtown office properties going up for sale in recent weeks.

The real estate firm with the biggest ownership stake in a Wacker Drive building that was split into office condos more than a decade ago is looking to cash out, searching for a buyer that wants to bet on the future of downtown offices coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic.
A venture of Philadelphia-based Pearl Properties is seeking nearly $21.5 million for its portfolio of offices and other spaces at 55 W. Wacker Drive, according to a marketing flyer for the property.
“Live at Mister Kelly’s" will air soon on WTTW-Ch. 11 and take some Chicagoans back to a forgotten Rush Street era, and introduce others to the empire of Chicago nightspots that launched many a famous career. Barbra Streisand included.
