The commission s CEO Sy Mamabolo says they will ensure people are able to cast their votes before 9 pm. There are no incidents, and we are happy at that because the party agents are playing their role accordingly, our staff are cooperating well with our voters as well with the security personnel who are deployed at various voting stations.

Māori voters who responded to a Horizons Regional Council survey overwhelmingly support bringing in Māori wards next year.
Councillors have been given the results of a Horizons survey mailed to nearly 18,500 individuals on the Māori electoral roll who are enrolled to vote in the Horizons region.
Ninety-six per cent of the responses were in favour of the regional council establishing Māori constituencies in time for next year s local body elections.
Speaking to journalists on Saturday, Chairperson of NEBE Birtukan Mideksa said repeated extensions of voters registration dates, delay in nominating and training of electoral staff as well as delay in printing and distribution of ballots have forced postponement of the polls, reports Xinhua news agency.Mide
